I brought a nest E to my new house and bought a nest (latest generation) thermostat since the home is 2 zone with 2 thermostats. Standard wiring RGWC. Each nest works fine to control the thermostat, but the problem is I cannot link both to my Google home at the same time. If I install the Nest first, the E struggles to link to the nest app. I did get it to connect once, but it went offline (in the app, the device says it's connected) and cannot be restored or used in the Google home or nest app. If I reset everything and install the Nest E, the nest says it cannot find another nest to assist in the installation in the Google app.
Is there a trick here or do legacy nest products just not work with Google nest products?

Hi nicknack,
Thanks for posting to the Google Nest Community Forum! I'd be happy to take a look into this for you.
I appreciate all the steps you've taken. It appears that both thermostats won't communicate with each other. Let's give these steps a whirl:
If the Nest thermostat E is successfully added to the Nest app, check the Google Home app and try adding the other Nest thermostat back.
Please let me know if that works.
Best regards,
Mark
