Think of getting Nest E, however, I can’t stand any ambient light in the bedroom and want to know if the screen can be deactivated, so no light comes from it.
Any ideas?

Hello Padster72,
Thanks for reaching out and for your interest in the Nest Thermostat E. I'd love to help.
The Nest Thermostats are designed to turn off their screens no matter when in use or where you have them installed. They will learn to adapt to your habits. Depending on its specific location, it can sense when you’re approaching or passing by to use it and turn on the screen.
Please let us know if you have more questions in mind.
Best,
Mark
