Nest Gen 3 Thermostat failing to pair with heat link

I’ve just replaced my thermostat as the old fell and won’t work. I’m trying to link the thermostat with the heat link but it’s not working. The light on the heat link is a flashing blue so it’s trying to connect but I keep getting a failure. The thermostat is next to the heat link.

Any advice?

Assuming you have a new display and an old Heat Link, you do not have a matched pair anymore.

I assume also you have read the forum, as this has been talked to death on here!

Click - REPLACE HEAT LINK!!! at the H71 screen.
