Does the Nest Gen 4 have a fan schedule feature that will allow me to turn the fan mode to auto or on at any hour that I choose and any day that I choose and any number of times a day for both the heating cycle and the cooling cycle.
I'm replacing a Honeywell Chronotherm which has 4 settable heat and cooling and fan times with individual day control.

@Rodeng ,
what model is your Honeywell Chonotherm? as an HVAC professional I am not aware of the ability for that device to program fan on at a specific day at a specific time in a specific mode. It is programmable to say, to use register program register 2 to allow the Fan to be controlled by the Equipment or have fan controlled by the Thermostat for heating mode.
Now the beauty of the Nest Learning Thermostat Gen-4 and the Google Home App, Is that you can create a script to run and do exactly what you stated you want to be able to do. That is you can decide that anytime on any day you can run the fan for X number of minutes. In fact, you can use Google Gemini AI to create a script for you as long as you create a proper query.

@Rodeng ,
the script language is pretty much straight forward. It is written in common english words. There is a process order. Sort of like identifying the device, specify the conditions, then direct the action to be taken.

Thank you
I did not fully explain the Honeywell functions. There is no completely separate fan schedule. The heat schedule has 4 adjustable times a day to set a temperature. For each time, the fan can be set to on or auto. The same for the cooling schedule.
Our building has a 26 ft ceiling so to reduce temperature stratification i want the fans to run continously during certain occupancy times. Returns are at floor level and supply near ceiling level.
Where do i find how to write and load these scripts.?

Another question - maybe another thread? How can I share control/administration of the Nest Gen 4 thermostats with several other people who also have temperature regulation authority and responsibility e.g. a business establishment.

@Rodeng ,
in Google Home app, go to Automations, click the + symbol to add a schedule, then tap automation, then tap the … in upper right. Scroll down and “script editor”.

The Google Nest Learning Thermostat has far more scheduling capabilities. You change the schedule every hour of every day if you want to. In short, you are not limited to only 4 times like the Honeywell Chronograph.

Is there a link to a Google Nest page that describes how to write this script. ?

@Rodeng ,
Yes there is. When reach the script editor, you will see a comment at the top that lists the link to get to documentation about the script editor. For simplicity it is: g.co/home/script-editor-docs

My current experience is with the Nest app. The Google Home integration 3-5 years ago when I put in my first NestE was very limited and was missing a lot of features. Google Home was a real bear to work with so I avoided it
