Nest Gen 4 Thermostat not viewable in Google Home App

I paired my Nest to the Google Home app, but when I try access it I am not able to. I tried deleting the Google home app, and factory resetting my Nest multiple times with no success. The Nest still shows up in Google home but there is no “removal” button.

I hope they get this fixed ASAP - I'm not convinced I don't need a replacement.

It appears to be more of a Google Home app issue than a Nest one. My thermostat works just fine, but I can’t control it from the app.

I was having the same problem and it just started working again.

I hope mine starts.  Chat keeps saying it is an app issue.  I'm afraid to miss a return window on a $275 thermostat that already doesn't work as stated.

Did you reinstall Google home or reset the thermostat? Or did it just start working without doing any of that?

Deleted from Home, Disconnected on the device and then set it back up. Was never able to delete device from Home app until this morning.

The Google Home app today finally let me delete the 2nd version named "delete" of my Nest 4. I am still not sure why the app would not remove the device when the Nest 4 was factory reset, but everything is finally working as it should.

How did you delete it?  When I click the gear on the blank page it shows the Stat information but no option to delete.

Mine was doing the same thing. For no apparent reason that I can identify, when I clicked on the gear icon yesterday the “remove device” button appeared.

One of my Gen4 thermostats appears in the Google Home app and works correctly but the other just shows as Nest Thermostat and it’s empty and there’s no other information when clicking to open it.  I can’t delete it either. Any thoughts on getting this fixed?
