Hi
I have 5 nest learning thermostat installed in my house. I noticed that one of the thermostat had red light and was low on power. I checked the Heat Link and light was steady amber. I reset the Heat Link and the thermostat started up but wasn't connected to the wifi as it said its low on power. I left it overnight but this morning again the thermostat was down and the heat link was showing steady amber light. I have reset it again but not sure if it will work.
I had the similar issue few months ago but resetting the Heat Link resolved the issue.

How did you reset the Heat Link, and what colour light did you have after reset, and why did you reset the Heat Link? A steady amber light is not a Heat Link fault, but a loss of communication from the display. The display is your problem here with a low battery.
How old is the thermosta that's showing the red light?

Thanks @Frustratedddd for your reply.
I pressed the button on the heatlink for 10 seconds to reset. It turned green after reset
It happened again today and i have reset but not sure if it resolves the issue.
Are you suggesting the battery on the display unit is faulty? It's about 2 years old unit.

A reset for 10 seconds does nothing, where did you get that information from?
I don’t think I mentioned anything about battery, why did you assume that?
What voltage is the display showing?
I did ask why you reset the Heat Link, why did you do that, for what reason, who suggested that?

I can't remember where I searched when I had the issue last time and it was suggested somewhere.
When you said "The display is your problem here with a low battery", I assumed it was something wrong with the battery itself and hence asked the question.
The display is showing the following
- Battery 3.922V
- Vusb 0.01v
- Vin 10.73v
- lin 200ma (c)
As explained, I found it somewhere before.
Also, it isn't showing red light at the moment.

Sadly that's the trouble with the internet it's full of information, but not always correct and you can get your self in more issues.
First your battery condition is excellent, nothing wrong with that so that's not the problem. Usually a low battery is a display problem, but a low battery will have trouble with linking, but yours is fine. You also have a wired power connection, from the Heat Link, and that's good also.
Have you installed anything new before the problem started, any metal work in the way of the signal or installed any new phones, microwave, access points, anything like that? Anything that might have interference with the signal?
With the display not showing a red light, and the battery a correct voltage, perhaps all is good. See how you go, but just check to see if anything might be blocking the signal as mentioned.
