Nest Heat

Hello. This morning my heat link is completely dead. There is power to the boiler and I have reset everything, but still no lights on heatlink.

It was working yesterday because I looked at my best app to check the heating settings. Can you help me?  Ian getting code H71 on my nest thermostat.

The boiler is a combi and is supplying hot water.

Thanks

Hey @nict,

Thank you for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear about your issue, but I'll do my best to help you. Let's start with some questions:

1. What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
2. When was it installed?
3. Did the issue happen during installation or after installation? Was it installed by a Nest Pro or by a regular installer?
4. Does the boiler activate when calling for heat by pressing the Heat Link's button to activate Manual Mode?
5. Have you had any recent power cuts in your area? If yes, has the power been restored?
6. Have you recently had service or maintenance on your electrical, plumbing, or heating system?
7. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps before contacting us?

8.  How many thermostats do you have?

Hi there.

1. nest 3rd gen

2. 2021

3. Standard installation

4. No, no lights or power to

5. No

6. No

7. Yes, pushed and held heat link button for 30 secs, nothing. Then I powered whole boiler off for 30 mins, still no power to heat link. The boiler when powered on will provide hit water as it is a combi boiler that does not need heatlink for hot water. I am unable to put the heating on at all

8. One thermostat serial no. 09AA01AC421907EM

Heatlink serial no. 10CA01AC43190018

Thanks for looking into things for me.

Thank you for your answers. If you have not already make sure to double check all breakers and switches to make sure nothing has tripped. Also check the boiler as it can have a separate isolation switch sometimes. Confirm the boiler has power, it should have a LED or display that turns on.

If it all looks good try and power cycle the Heat Link, if you're comfortable in doing so. Turn the power off to the Heat Link for a few minutes and then turn it back on. See if it has any reaction when you press the button on it after.

Hi there. No fuses or breakers not working. The boiler has power.

I've power cycled everything, and still the heatlink is non responsive when pressing the heatlink button. It is completely dead and without power, but the boiler is as the power led is on on the boiler, and it fires up for hot water. It is the heatlink that is dead.

Thanks.
