Nest won’t control heat pump cooling. Old Honeywell t-stat has a metal jumper between Y1 and W1. With yellow wire to Y1. White wire goes to W2. Cannot find the right wiring config on the Nest that will control cooling. Changed heat pump orientation with no impact. Still blowing warm air. How can I wire the nest when there is no W1 wire?

Hi Jota57,
Thanks for reaching out. The Nest Thermostat should be able to control your heating with the Y wire if it's configured with a heat pump system. I'd love to know more about this. Could you share a photo of how your Nest Thermostat is wired?
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Edward

Here is the current wiring configuration. I have tried the white wire in W1, but aux heat will not kick on unless the white wire is in W2. My issue is less about heat and more about the inability to get any cooling.
