Nest Learning Thermostat Gen 3 recently having repeat Low Battery issues, leading to loss of WIFI connection and losing connection in the Nest App as a result of not being able to connect to WIFI.
Battery: 3.743V, Voc: 40.43V, Vin: 38.85V, lin: 40mA
Battery: 3.738V, Voc, 40.43V, Vin 7.6V, lin: 20mA (while central air is running)
Wired: Y1, W1, G, Rc, Rh
The first time this happened (2 days ago) I restarted the thermostat and everything functioned normally. Today restarting the thermostat is not helping the situation. I didn't bother charging using a charging cable since the battery has a full charge. Weather has been hot and humid for days so not sure if that is contributing to the problem. I have had this thermostat for around 3 years and I never had any issues. If this is just a case of the battery going bad is a replacement battery an option or does the whole device need to be replaced? For the cost there should be some options besides replacing the whole unit.

@CJD88 , are there any wires in the thermostat cable not connected to any terminals of your thermostat?

Hi Axel
Fortunately I have not had to take these actions. The past 5 days I have not had any issues. If the problem occurs again I will try this and see if it works.
Thanks
