Hiya EvaN9

Thank you for reaching out to our community,

A thermostat that doesn't follow your orders isn't ideal, but let's see what is going on so you can get things back on track.

There might be a mismatch between your wire configuration since your system could either be a heat pump or a conventional system.

If you have a heat pump:

The current wiring (B wire in the O/B connector) is likely correct. However, you might need to adjust the O/B wire orientation within the thermostat settings

  • Go to "Equipment" in your thermostat settings.
  • Select "Continue" twice.
  • Choose "Heat Pump."
  • If "O" is highlighted, select "B" or vice versa.

If you have a conventional system:

Your wiring configuration is likely incorrect. The "B" wire might need to go in the C terminal.

If you're unsure if you have a conventional system or a heat pump, i wouldn't suggest to change the wiring since you could damage your unit, instead contacting an HVAC technician would be helpful since they can help you figure out what your wires do.

Let me know how this suggestions go.

Regards,
Angel
