Nest Learning Thermostat wiring

My current system is a heat pump with the current wiring.

I installed the Nest Learning thermostat but it did not recognize my system as a heat pump. When I turned on the AC, it was blowing out heat.

How can I fix this?

Hey Pduncan529,

Thanks for reaching out. Based on your photos, it looks like you've connected your Heat pump wire on the W1 terminal on the Nest Thermostat. You can follow the wiring diagram below and restart your Nest Thermostat after.

Please let me know if that helps, or if the issue still persists.

Best,

Mark
