Hi @SteveA2023,
I hope you are well and I would like to thank you for posting on our community page, on the other hand I apologize for the inconvenience that you are having. Let me tell you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to fix the problem.
Restart the Google Home App:
- A simple restart of the app can often resolve temporary glitches. Close the Google Home app completely (swipe it away from your recent apps list) and then relaunch it.
Check Thermostat Settings in the App:
- Open the Google Home app and select your Nest Learning Thermostat.
- Go to Settings > Equipment > [Your HVAC System Name] (might be slightly different depending on the app version).
- Look for options related to "Fan" or "Fan Mode." Ensure they are set to allow manual control if desired.
Check for App Updates:
- Outdated app versions might have bugs that have been fixed in newer releases. Go to the App Store or Google Play Store and see if there are any updates available for the Google Home app. Install the update if there's one and see if the Fan option reappears.
Factory Reset the Thermostat (Last Resort):
- If none of the above steps work, you might need to perform a factory reset on your Nest Learning Thermostat. This will erase all your settings and customizations. Here's a guide from Google on how to reset your Nest Thermostat: https://goo.gle/2MZWGo6
