Nest [Monthly] Home Report Email

1) "You earn a Leaf when you choose an energy-efficient temperature."

However if you don't have the heating on (summer months) or set to 'ECO,' leafs are not given. Surely is the heating is off, this is energy-efficient?

2) Also "Energy summary as of ....[Month]" So it is ok to compare to the previous month, but has no real benefit. In the autumn "your energy" will nearly always be increasing month on month. The reverse in the spring, "your energy" should be decreasing from one month to the next.

It would be much more
beneficial to have the comparison be between the same month in previous years. Or as you build up a number of years of data. A comparison between "Month X" and "Your average usage in Month X" from previous years. (This would need to be erased if you moved house or changed heating/boiler etc.)

I get the reports but it shows for both heating and cooling, and seems comparable.  Does your system only have heating, with no A/C?

@Ashepherdson - Yes, generally common in the UK to have only heating. So both heating and A/C use energy, do you find your Home Report Email meaningful for making comparisons? and thus saving energy?

Yes, only the "awkward" inbetween season months such as September are a bit off, but generally for the rest of the year it's spot on and very useful here!
