Nest-Randomly Heating in the morning?

MichaelPV
Community Member

Good morning.

I installed the Nest last night and it worked fine all night. I set schedules up for certain temperatures throughout the day, depending if my Fiance and I are home.  This morning, about 30 minutes before we go to work, hot air started blowing and the house temp was going up.... Now my question is, is this not supposed to let the house temp rise naturally? Or is supposed to start blowing hot air? I cant find any settings I did wrong. Appreciate some help.

Also, just to clarify. I have the Temp at night set to 72, and for it to raise to 77 at 6am when we leave for work. The heater came on I would say around 5:30-5:40?

Hi MichaelPV,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. To isolate the issue, could you try checking the Nest Energy History to see the reason why the target temperature is automatically changing? You can click on this link to learn more about this.

Thanks,

Edward

Make sure Mode is not set to Heat and Cold.
