Nest Rollercoaster Frustration

I just moved into a new home with a Nest thermostat, and I reset it, thinking it would reboot. Unfortunately, I didn't realize I needed to get the code before resetting. The QR code is not working, and I don't know where to go to put in the manufacturing code to connect the Nest.  Now I cannot connect it to the app, cannot get a decent phone number for support and troubleshooting, and my home is getting colder by the moment.  ugh

I don't understand how to get out of this article loop I have been in for several hours, only to be rerouted to something I asked a question about in July.

To gather all the necessary information and provide you with the best assistance, please answer the following questions:

  • What type of Nest thermostat do you have? Please see: How to tell which Nest thermostat you have.
  • Which app are you using to set up your Nest thermostat?
  • Are you receiving an error message on your app when your Nest thermostat fails to connect?
  • Does the Nest thermostat have a strong internet connection?
  • Is the Bluetooth activated on your phone when you try to connect your Nest thermostat to the app?
