Nest Temperature Sensor

I bought a Nest Learning Thermostat and a Nest Temperature Sensor. I want the thermostat to always use the temperature sensor as its reference for heating and cooling. However, when I go into the Nest app, sometimes it has reverted to using the thermostat as its temperature reference. I have to constantly go into the app and manually switch the selection to the temperature sensor. How do I get it to stay on the temperature sensor permanently?

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you and see why your sensor kept disconnecting from your thermostat.

Please test the connection between your sensor and your thermostat. Placement and settings might interfere with the set sensor. Also, do you have more than one sensor? If so, when the next sensor is scheduled to be active, your thermostat and sensors will automatically switch out of manual mode and back to their set schedule.
