Wiring from Honeywell Home to Nest

Hoosiers228

I have two Honeywell Home units in a newly built home I just moved into.  The Units are TH8321R1001.

Oddly, see below the units are wired differently even though I believe they are the same HVAC units.

When I switch to the nest learning thermostat is the following correct for the units wiring?

Unit 1:

C-> C

R -> RH

W -> W1

Y -> Y1

G -> G

HW 2.PNG

For Unit 2:

C-> C

Rc -> Rc

U1 -> * ?

Second U1 -> ?

W -> W1

Y-> Y1

G-> G

W2 -> W2

Y2 -> Y2

Hello Hoosiers228,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry.

Your wiring setup is correct. Please note that the U wire terminals are used to control indoor air quality equipment, such as a whole-house humidifier or dehumidifier or a ventilation system. Some systems may be controlled by a separate panel as well. But to be sure, could you please verify if you have one? Also, the make and model of your HVAC system.

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,

Mark

Hi there,

Chiming in — could you please provide the information asked above? It will help us to move forward.

I appreciate your help, Mark.

Thanks,
Jenelyn

Hi I was told the system has a fresh air feature.  I will share what system it is shortly.  So it isn't a dehumidifier but a system that evidently allows fresh air every so often...
