Nest Thermostat 2020 - hold temperature indefinitely when home

I would like to have my Nest 2020 thermostat have three temperature modes:

1. "Away" - a fixed cooling temperature to conserve energy when no one is home. This temperature is held indefinitely, unless overtly changed via the Home App. This is handled by the current Eco mode.
2. "Home Fixed" - a fixed temperature that is held indefinitely with no timeout. That is, just like an old fashioned mechanical thermostat. The temp will hold unless changed at the thermostat or Home App or... the thermostat goes into "Away" mode. If someone changes the temperature at the thermostat or app, that new temperature will hold indefinitely, until told differently.
3. "Home Temporary Hold" - When the thermostat is on a schedule, but someone manually changes the temp, the temp should hold until the next schedules change when the temp changes to what the the schedule has programmed for that time window.

I know how to do #1, but don't know how to do #2 or #3. The only option I see for changing a fixed temp in the Home App includes having to declare a duration for the change. I don't want it to be that smart. "Just do what I say until I tell you differently" is really all I want.

If you're using the Eco preset, you can also choose "None" as the end time to hold the temperature indefinitely until you end the hold. For other presets, your thermostat can hold the temperature for up to 24 hours.

Thanks for the quick reply. So I think you are telling me that the thermostat cannot behave as many other WiFi thermostats can and hold a non-away temperature indefinitely or until the next program change. That's an unfortunate deficiency. Google is known for intuitive products. Not very intuitive to change the temp setting only to have that setting expire within 24 hours. Perhaps Google will remedy this in the near future. Until then, I'll look for a non-Nest thermostat for my upcoming purchase.

Ecobee provides modes 1, 2 & 3 from my original post:

"How do I adjust the Hold duration?

You can change your Hold preference to hold for 2 hours, 4 hours, Until the Next Scheduled Activity, Until I Change It, or Decide at the Time of Change.

To do this, just tap Main menu > Settings > Preferences > Hold action and change the setting according to your preference."

The Amazon Thermostat does 1, (2 or 3), depending on whether you have set a program:

"If you've set a schedule for your thermostat, manual changes temporarily override the schedule. The temperature you requested holds until the next scheduled change time, such as from Home to Sleep."

With no program set, "hold" is indefinite.

My old Filtrete 3M-50, though having a clunky interface on the device, has an excellent Android app and both the device and the app support all 3 modes. "Away Mode" covers mode #1; manually changing the temp while not "Away" behaves like mode #3. Pressing the "Hold" button forces mode #2 when not "Away". "Hold" is toggled off when going between "Home" and "Away" or between "Heat" and "Cool". 

Google should strive for something like the Filtrete (actually made by Radio Thermostat), or at least like the Ecobee.

@kmmtx, I appreciate your thoughts and insights on the said features. The Temperature Hold with the Nest Thermostat 2020 would override Schedules and auto-away modes for up to 12 hours. At the end of a temperature hold, the Nest Thermostat will resume its regular schedule. When a hold is active, you should no longer be able to manually change the temperature on the thermostat display.

Make sure that the Nest Thermostat must be connected to Wi-Fi for the clock to be set. Feel free to let us know if you have more questions in mind.
