I don’t want my tenant to lower the AC below 70° how do I set a default for 70° AC mode?

You cannot put a limit temp setting on nest unlike some other thermostats out there I haven’t seen that option
you can set the the safety temps to what you want but as per nest system can still be turned on even tho you have set to off & of course your tenant can always change those settings unless you want to activate a Lock Screen mode to access thru passcode good luck

Hello Jlembo8,
Thanks for posting here in the Community. If you are using a Nest Learning thermostat or a Nest thermostat E, you can put a lock on your Nest thermostat where you can set a range for the minimum or maximum temperature so that your tenant cannot change the temperature below 70 degrees.
Here is the link on how to put a lock on your Nest Learning thermostat.
Thanks for the help, @HVAC.
Let me know if that helps.
Best,
Edmond
