Nest Thermostat Display TOO dim

I just installed a  Nest Thermostat.

Display is TOO dim. how to change brightness for display?

I can find no setting in the Google Home app or in Settings on the thermostat itself.

I have the same problem. This is just garbage. In a dark room the display gets darker and when in a bright room the display gets brighter. Makes zero sense.

My 15 year old thermostat could even be read in a dark room.

When engineers add all of these new "smart features" they forget about basic user interface needs.

I will be returning mine and buying Amazon's version. Sad.
