Hi,
We’ve just got a Nest Thermostat E with heat link.
Our thermostat boots and shows the logo of a smartphone, an arrow and the home icon.
Attempting to add it in the app results in the TD023 error.
I have restarted several times. Have tried from 3 different devices.
Cannot reset it as it’s not connected.
any help is most welcome.
Thanks !

Hi @DeeveeBob and @VY thanks for reaching out to us here. I am sorry to hear you are both facing the same difficulties with your device and I would be happy to try and assist.
To start, could you tell me what model of mobile device or tablet you tried to use to add it, what OS version the devices had on them and what version the Nest app is?

Hi, I have a Google pixel 6 phone and the app was from the app store, the one with the blue nest house symbol.

Thanks for the info. If possible check the current android version on the device and the app version for the installed Nest app.
Did you happen to have another phone or tablet to try and add the thermostat with?

Hi Alex, I have just tried to add the thermostat with my laptop and the process is different, it is now asking for a code to enter which I get from the thermostat but the problem is I am unable to turn on the thermostat to get the code. [ which is charged]

Gotcha. In case of the 3rd Generation, you can use a laptop or PC but this will not work for the E version, you need to use a mobile device with the Nest app installed. Do you happen to have any other mobile phone or tablet to try with?
