Nest Thermostat E White Screen

Hi guys

Suddenly a few days ago my Nest Thermostat screen started displaying in a faded white. Its currently not affecting the functionality of the thermostat however from other posts on here I'm concerned this may continue and the screen will go all white and become unusable. 😞

Some posts have suggested that the issue may be a loose wire in the display - is there been any confirmation of this? Is there a quick fix? I can confirm that I have tried restarting the device to no avail. I bought this 2nd hand  from a shop as a return approximately one year ago I'm concerned that a product I thought would last some time is potentially becoming invalid in just over a year !

Any pointers on this would be helpful ?

Cheers

P.s I should add its plugged into the wall and has been ever since I got it

Hey @sixswans,

I'm sorry to hear about this situation, but I'd like to look into it for you. It seems like now you aren't able to see all the elements that can usually be seen on the screen, am I correct?

Also did you try any troubleshooting steps, like restarting the thermostat?

Was there any work done on your electrical, plumbing or heating system recently?

Have you had any power cuts?

Hi @sixswans. Just checking in, how's it going with your thermostat? Were you able to check the last message from my colleague?
