Hi
I recently noticed my thermostat and heating system suddenly stopped working today, Monday 23rd May 2022.
The thermostat is fitted correctly and working fine for the last 2.5 years.
I have removed thermostat from the wall and tried recharging the battery but when I plugged into the wall, it says restarting, we will be back soon and then cuts off and does not come back.
Pressing the heat link for 10 or 20 seconds did nothing. When I plugged the heat link with a charger it turned on with a yellow light but nothing else.
There have been no power cuts and no circuits have tripped.
What do I need to do as I do not know if its the thermostat or a connection issue although everything else seems to be working fine and as I said, I have had no power cuts. Ever.

Looks like there's a general outage, but no one at Google has realised yet. All of my cameras and thermostats are unavailable.

I had similar issues. All of sudden, the thermostat are not detecting any signals from the wires. Not sure what is going on.

Everywhere I have read says it’s a issue with the heat link and need a replacement. I am out of warranty now so going to give Google a call tomorrow and see what I can do. Will let you know if I find a solution

Got it. I search heat link and it is a system used in Europe. Do you live in Europe? I lived in US and it stopped working while I was using the AC. But I am curious if the Heat Link can resolve your issue.

Hi there all. Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the inconveniences the product has caused. Could you tell me please if the Heat Link is the one that doesn't have any light on it normally? The USB into the Heat Link is just for developer work and testing the actual light bulb, but it has nothing to do with the Heat Link's functionality.

The heat link is not doing anything. It is not just a light issue as if it was pressing the manual button should still work which it does not.
My thermostat does not work and from speaking to your advisors on Google chat the thermostat is not working and the battery has died because the heat link which drives the power to it is not working.
They have sent me a replacement and it is getting fitted today so will see if this solves the problem.

Understood. Thanks for letting me know. That's great news. In this case, I'll have to close this thread. Should anything else come up, please open another thread and we'll take it from there. Have a good one and stay safe!

Hi live in the UK. Managed to get through to Google via the online chat, explained and after a bit of back and forth they agreed to send me a new heat link which from the sounds of it is the faulty item. Give this a try.
Getting it fitted today so will let you know if it works.
