Nest Thermostat Sensor 2.0 app conflicts

StevenMc

I have two Nest Thermostat Sensor 2.0 setup with my Nest Thermostat 4 in Google home, everything is working fine.

I noticed the sensors also show up in the Nest App as sensor 1.0s and clearly not associated with any thermostat on that platform.

Any feedback on this?

Hi StevenMc,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand your Nest Temperature Sensor (2nd gen) units are operating fine with your Nest Thermostat (4th gen) in Google Home app, but they're appearing as "sensor 1.0s" in the Nest app and aren't linked to a thermostat there. Help is here!
Your Nest Temperature Sensors are visible in both applications because your account has been migrated. These sensors are compatible with all generations of the Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E. However, the Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) will only appear in the Google Home app, as it's not compatible with the Nest app. You don't need to connect your Nest Temperature Sensors to a thermostat within the Nest app, as they are already linked in the Google Home app.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,
Melany
