Nest Thermostat Short Cycling Heat Pump

Just installed my system, which it said was compatible. Once installed, the heat would only kick on for a couple seconds and then would cut off. It would start again every minute or so. Never once ran for more than 30 seconds. I had a Honeywell TH500 Focus Pro, with O/B, Rh + Rc (Jumped), Y, W, G, and C wires connected. I moved them all to the Nest in the obvious spots, and yes I checked all my cables already. Please help!

I had the same issue y'day. I had the blue and white mixed up which I corrected. See my post above from this morning to compare your connections. It corrected itself after that.

@blakepparrish, Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. It's most likely a power-related concern that causes your system to deactivate unexpectedly, but I'd be happy to take a look into this for you.

Could you tell us what type of Nest Thermostat you have? Please share with us a photo of your thermostat's wiring diagram. Also, check your system power readouts under the "Technical Info" settings for the Nest Learning Thermostat or Nest Thermostat E and "Power Info" for the Nest Thermostat 2020.
