I am doing the initial set up. Wiring is all set-done by an electrician. The Wi-Fi simply won’t connect and then it says my device is disconnected and reconnects. No dice. Help!
I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused you — let's see what's going on and why your Nest Thermostat keeps disconnecting from your Wi-Fi network.
To isolate:
Could you please tell us what type of Nest Thermostat you have?
Are you getting any wiring reports or message codes prior to the drop in your Wi-Fi network?
How far away is your thermostat from your router?
Does your thermostat have a C wire?
Please check its power readouts.
For the Nest Learning Thermostat or Nest Thermostat E. Settings > Technical Info > Power.
For the Nest Thermostat 2020. Settings > Equipment > Power Info.
