I installed the nest to my network - but the device would not show up... so I tried to start from scratch. OR so I thought.. I cannot do a factory reset (there is no option for that) it just says ACCOUNT DISCONNECTED.

Can you do a factory reset from the thermostat itself, as described on these two Google Nest Help pages?
