Nest Thermostat can't connect to the heat link, I bought a new nest kit and they don't work either.

Nest heat link can't connect error H71. I have done everything possible as rest the heat link twice for 30 secs...trying to reset pairing....reconnect....and also replace heat link...none of those worked.

I have moved the old heat link and powered up with w normal wire and place it to another room and it doesn't work.

  • O don't know what to do I think this solution is bad.

Hi there, @MAPZEUS

Thanks for reaching out. Are there any lights on the Heat Link? Does the boiler activate when calling for heat by pressing the Heat Link's button to activate Manual Mode?
Are you seeing any wiring report or message on the thermostat and/or the app?
Have you had any recent power cuts in your area? If yes, has the power been restored?
Have you recently had service or maintenance on your electrical, plumbing, or heating system?
If yes, how long was the power off for? (Be specific.)

Could you tell us please if you've checked on the breaker switch and fuse box?
Any blown fuse in there? Have you tried to turn the breaker switch off and on again? Any difference?

This I have fixed myself.

Hi,

The new one seems to be working now after I wire up to it base and factory reset both, heat link and thermostate. Once you connect the heat link wiring it with T1 and T2, it will detect the heat link so you can then change the settings to wire and wireless option. After doing it, the thermostate is now working wireless again.
I spent few days trying with my old thermostate but it's definitely dead.

Google thermostate is good, but it doesn't last more than pass the warranty  though.
