Not sure how long ago, less than a few weeks, my Nest thermostat stopped showing on my Nest home page. It wants me to add a new one and wants a code but the thermostat says it's already connected (it is to my phone) so it won't give me the code. The code is also seemingly not available in the phone app either. How do I solve this?

You can find the code on the thermostat or you can scan the bar code. Just pop off the face of the thermostat and it will be on the backside. I would remove the device from the Google Home app and then go through and set it up again. That should work. I had to do this also after 2 weeks.

So it turns out the problem wasn't that the thermostat disappeared, it was the fact that I have two 'Structures', one called 'Home' and the other called 'Wayne's World', the latter having my thermostat, the former an extra one I am not sure how to remove. How can I delete the extra 'structure'?

You should be able to go in to the Google Home App and it should show you the Wayne's World and the other one and you just need to click on the one you want to change or delete. The settings is on the upper right. I am new to this so I hope I gave you the correct information. I believe you just added a room/base when you already had one setup. Is the Thermostat in the room you call Wayne's World? It should just be you added a room when you already had one with the thermostat based in it. My room is named the Hallway as that is where my Nest is installed. I know it's not very creative. Let me know if that works.

Neither the Nest web interface or the Nest app let me delete, they both say go into the Google Home App which I don't have installed. Oddly it did let me rename the extra Home so in the future I will realize I need to switch homes if I happen to chose the wrong one.

Now I am having the problem described here: my camera and thermostats are still visible on the app on my iphone, but only the camera is visible on the webpage. This lapse may be related to the fact that I just subscribed to Nest Aware. What's the remedy?

Hi RSS27,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? You can visit this link to check what type of thermostat you have. Could you please check your thermostat if it's visible on the Nest app web using a different device?
Best,
Jenelyn

I tried to migrate accounts from nest to google as instructed. There was a server error saying accounts not migrated . Now I can’t see what account the best is connected to. I have factory reset the heat link. The thermostat. Restarted.
In the app it makes no difference if you scan QR it still requires access code. Which I can’t get.
very frustrating.

When you pop off the top piece on the backside there is a QR bar code to scan and if that won't work below that is a series of letters and that is the access code you need. It should work if you enter it.

I have scanned the bar code but now it says I need to enter the entry key. I press the dial, try to press settings and all I get is the temperature setting.

I have the same issue. I can scan QR code. Then when I am instructed to add entry key the thermostat says already connected. The problem is neither of my thermostats are on the app. How do I get the app to show the thermostats again? All my trouble shooting sends me in circles.

How did you solve this…it’s happening to me and I can’t solve it!!!

Actually the QR code.

I started having the same problem today. It appears to be a problem with the Nest website because other features are slow or non-responsive. I noticed that the temperature showing on the website was different from that on the thermostat. That happens a lot. So, I reloaded the page, and my thermostat is gone. The thermostat seems fine, and it is still showing in the app on my iPhone. I've had the thermostat for a few years, and this has never happened before.

I closed my browser (Firefox) and reopened it, and my thermostat was visible again.

I am having the same problem. I thought it was because I got a new iPhone several months ago, but maybe that's not the issue. I have both the Nest app and Google Home on my phone, but the Nest app no longer displays the thermostat, so I have no way to control the temperature settings. It only displays "Home" and "Away." Nest says it's connected, so I can't get the device code. I've tried every possible login, I've deleted and reloaded the apps, I've clicked through every icon and setting on the thermostat itself, I've tried a Reset, and I've requested a new login password. Nothing works. I just want to be able to control the thermostat from the Nest app on my phone like I used to be able to do. I appreciate all suggestions!

FINALLY got the thermostat back on my Nest app by going to the thermostat settings and choosing Reset - Factory Reset, then re-setting up the device. That was the only way I found to get that code and "install" the device again. You'll know you're on the right track if you get the pretty Google colors swirling around on the thermostat display.
