My Nest learning thermostat ( gen 3) works but had to set up manually. Want to connect to nest app, but when I get to enter entry code page, and go to the app setting in the thermostat itself, I see app low battery and can’t get anything to show I press the dial. Not sure what this means or next step.

If you did what you claim “set up” the Nest thermostat manually, you must not have used a C wire. Here is what you should do. First, remove the Nest display off the base, turn it over, and connect a USB cable and charger to the display for 24 hours. Then, reattach your display. Go to SETTINGs > Nest App and it will display a PIN. Open the app and add the thermostat. It will ask you to scan a QR code, just tap the skip at the bottom left. And choose enter PIN code. The QR code only tells the app what model thermostat you have. The PIN code is unique and the app will use that the communicate with BLE to complete the installation registration with the Nest APP. If you have configured the Network the thermostat will link seamlessly to the Nest APP over the Internet. If have not set up the Network, it ask you to do that in the next step.
Did you perform the Heating and Cooling tests to verify your system was working properly? Had you followed the Nest installation process you would not have to be redoing these steps or be trying to figure out where the Neat Thermostat is in its installation and configured process.
Now, alternatively, you can factory RESET the thermostat and restart the installation and configuration process.

Hello folks,
I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
Thanks for the input, @CoolingWizard.
@Rich11, how's it going? Have you managed to charge your Nest Thermostat manually? Did that help to generate an entry key? Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.
Regards,
Mark
