Nest Thermostat display saying to attach to the base while it's attached to the base.

I have been dealing with this problem for some weeks, at the time temperatures outside were hot during the day and cool at night. The temp suddenly dropped too very very cold!  I called Google for help, after going through all the troubleshooting techniques still no heat.  My son looked at it and simply pulled the bottom of the plate forward and we have a miracle! Doing this insured a proper connection and the display was able to work as it should and then we had HEAT! We also noticed the screws need to be flush especially at the bottom to ensure the display can attach without obstruction. I hope this helps someone having similar issues.

Hi @Apj2025!

We appreciate you contacting the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Learning Thermostat was telling you to attach the display back to its back when it was already.

Thank you for your previous efforts. I am aware that you have already performed some troubleshooting steps and the issue has been fixed one more time. Thank you so much for sharing that information. Believe me that is going to allow us to grow in our community.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us again.

Regards,

Jeremy.
