Nest Thermostat login

After several month, the nest app decided I needed to login. My password no longer works and trying to use Google to login returns me to the nest login screen. Trying to reset the password I never get the email.

Are you sure your google account is valid? For example, can you go to gmail and send/receive emails?

Yes, my google account is valid but did not set up my Nest with that account, I used a yahoo address

Try to reset your account connection on the Nest (Settings -> Reset -> Account connection) and then make sure you use your google account for setting it up. If that does not work, factory reset the Nest, Settings -> Reset -> All settings, and install it from scratch using your google account.
