Nest Thermostat not powering on.

Nest Thermostat not powering on. Tried the suggestions found on line - doesn't help. Had an electrician look at the wiring, that seems to be fine.   Tried the telephone number for Nest and that isn't working.  I understand there was an issue with some of the controllers.  I don't know if mine is one of them.  SOOOOO frustrated.  If I play with the control, with luck, it comes on.  Does anyone have a way to contact a Nest support group?  I really am ready to throw out this Nest Thermostat and run out and buy a RING.

Sorry to hear you are having such a tough time! You can try reaching Google Nest support through their official help site or via the Google Home app for live chat. If the thermostat occasionally powers on, it might be a hardware issue. You could also check if it’s eligible for replacement under warranty. Hope this helps

  • What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
  • When did you notice this situation?
  • Are all the wires of your thermostat seated firmly in its terminals (with no loose or exposed wires)?
  • Do you see any error code?
  • Do you see any light on the display?

Regarding the previous information, I'd like to share some additional troubleshooting steps that may help resolve this issue.

  • Remove the thermostat display from its base and check if any connector pins are bent.
  • Ensure that the wires are connected properly.
  • Charged the thermostat's battery for about an hour.
