I have a 2nd generation Nest Thermostat that is continuously restarting. It seems that the issue is the Thermostat is continuously downloading a "software update", applying the update, restarting the nest and repeat.
Apparently there's nothing in the code to stop it from updating over and over again, even if the version before matches the version after.
Customer support says this is expected and that I can just turn off the wifi on this and use it manually.
What was the point of getting a smart Thermostat in the first place...
