Replaced a EcoBee with a Nest Thermostat and wired it as follows:
White wire - *OB
Yellow - Y
Blue - C
Red - R
Green - G
And when the system calls for heat it kicks the AC on...I am not sure if its running both at the same time (I would assume my Furnace wouldn't allow this and would give an error code) but I kinda doubt it...definately blowing cold air though. I called Nest and the "tech" online asked a few questions had me change the white wire to "W" instead of the "*OB" but still got the same result.
Nothing worked and at the end he told me I needed a Technician to come out and "recalibrate" the Thermostat? NOT something I will do on a "plug and play" device.
Plugged the EcoBee back in and system is working fine (only reason I want to replace it is that its a bit older and suddenly won't connect to wifi so I can't use my app to adjust temps, etc.).
Any ideas?
