Nest Thermostat will not recognize my O wire

During setup the device recognizes all other wires but my O wire. I tried cleaning the wire, then I cut it down to a new section and still it won't recognize the wire. I reinstalled my old thermostat and it works fine and recognizes the heat pump wire.

Sorry for the late response but do you still need help with this? If yes, what type of Nest thermostat do you have? Have you tried resetting it to it's default settings before trying to redo the setup? Here's a guide: https://bit.ly/3riP5Dp
