I recently installed a Nest Learning thermostat (Pro edition). I do not want any schedules or learning. I have everything turned off, but it still changes the temperature setting on its own. I keep it set at 60 for heat, but it keeps changing to 69 without me doing anything.
How can I make sure all schedules and learning functions are off?
Thank you.

Hello Eck1060,
Thanks for posting in the Community. I’d be happy to help you with the Nest Learning Thermostat. Let’s check it out.
Please try the troubleshooting steps below:
Turn off Auto-Schedule learning. When you turn off Auto-Schedule, your existing schedule will remain, but your thermostat will stop learning from your future adjustments.
Clear the existing schedule.
Here’s a helpful guide on how to disable learning for the temperature schedule.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Lance

I have EVERYTHING turned off, and my thermostat changes on it's own. My wife and I work from home, and it's running the schedule set to 68° and repeatedly I notice it feeling cooler and sure enough Nest (which I paid for) decides we should have it cooler to save money and sets the temp to 67° (sometimes it says "Peak Time" on the bottom of that stat). I DONT CARE it's peak time, I pay for the heat not Google/Nest. How do I get this thing to stop going against my wishes???
Nest move is to throw it in the garbage and buy another brand. So sick of this thermostat.

Hello folks,
I'm barging in to see how I could help.
Thanks for the help here, Lance.
@SickOfNest1, I'm sorry to hear that your thermostat isn't staying at the temperature that you set.
I was able to find a great article that should be able to tell you more about the reason for an unexpected temperature change. Are you enrolled in Rush Hour Rewards? If so, if you wish to cancel the feature, please contact us so our team can route you to a certain department that caters to unenrolling the program so you don't have to worry about the temperature changing.
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Regards,
Mark

Thanks,
I don't believe I ever signed up for Rush Hour Rewards. Is that the article you mentioned?

Hi there,
Interesting! You might not remember it during the initial set-up. But rush hour events happen when there’s unusually high demand on the grid. During these events, your thermostat will adjust your home’s temperature by up to 4 degrees F, helping you to use less energy on heating or cooling during that time. If you start to feel uncomfortable, you can stop participating at any time by changing the temperature. To prevent this from happening, I'd suggest contacting us or your energy company to opt out of the feature.
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions in mind.
Regards,
Mark
