Nest Thermostat

I just installed a nest thermostat in my mother in laws home. She is out of the country. Is there a way for her to connect to the new thermostat while she is away?

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think this works.
The community can correct me if I am wrong.
During setup and connection to the app, the "operator" should be logged into the same home network.
Surely there are possibilities via DynDNS or No-Ip.
But unfortunately I do not know about that.
In the best case, you might have your mother-in-law's tablet at hand and set up the app through it. Then maybe she can install the app on her phone and the Google sync could do the rest.
But as I said, I don't have any experience, these are just ideas.
