Nest Thermostat

My Nest thermostat is on my Google Home. The same Home is connected to the Nest app but I can't get the thermostat to show up on the Nest app.

Why do you need the nest app at all if it's showing up in the Home app? The newer version doesn't use nest app only Google home app. Unless I'm misunderstanding the problem.
