Once again I am having trouble with Google smart devices. Now the Nest Learning Thermostat says it is heating but the fan is blowing cold air. I have checked the compatibility, wiring, internet connection etc. Everything fine. I have changed the heat pump setting from O to B and back again. have two furnaces and two Nest Learning thermostats. The Nest Thermostat that does not have a *OB wire works fine, the other one that has a*OB Wire does not heat when it says it it on heat, the fan blows cold air. Our furnace is a 2019 High Efficiency Condensing Gas Furnace. The furnace that works well without the *OB wire has a Service Facts Manuel that says a Gas-Fired, Direct/Non-Direct, single stage/two stage condensing furnace with high efficiency motor.
Please help, I need heat to come from both furnaces.

I just spent about an hour talking with Nest support. The woman that tried to help me was very nice and tried to help but actually had me repeat everything that I had already done, which I learned to do by searching the internet. After about an hour she determined that I had a faulty thermostat and since I have had the thermostat for 2 years it was out of the warranty period and there was nothing she could do. I think that a thermostat should last longer than 2 years so my final solution was to buy a new smart thermostat…a Honeywell which cost a fourth of a new Nest Learning Thermostat. Thanks Nest, I am thrilled with your competitor’s product.

Your second furnace isn't a heat pump and doesn't use an O/B wire.
Post a picture of the original thermostat's wiring here if you have it.

I have discovered that my problem is that the primary heat source is listed as electric when it is gas. I can go to the proper place in the app to change it but it is greyed out and won’t let me change. Also on the Nest Thermostat Equipment does not allow me to change. I have tried, Reset and Factory Reset, removing the device, rebooting the modem….nothing works.

Nope, no more questions. Was told my thermostat must be defective and I needed to buy another one. I did, a Honeywell and it works great. Thanks
