Nest Undetected Wires Y, G, W

My nest thermostat is working (I.e, fan is on, cooling the house down), but my Nest is showing undetected wires for wire Y, G, and W. Any ideas on what the issue could bee? I stripped the wires and cut them before install to ensure a clean end.

You have a Google Nest Thermostat (mirrored display), correct?

Did you wire it like this?

Green - G to G

White - W to W

Blue - C to C

Yellow - Y to Y

Red - R to R (jumper to Rc not needed)

Did you turn the breaker off before you moved any wires?

Do you have a picture of the original thermostat's wiring that you can post here?

When you were setting the thermostat up in the Google Home app, which wires did you tell it you had installed?

Here is the other thermostat wiring: https://imgur.com/a/thermostat-xcnRXIt

When I set it up, the app told me these wires were undetected but I proceeded anyway because I was trying to troubleshoot.

@Patrick_Caezza  Yes, I did all of that with the breakers off. As I mentioned, the AC is blowing cold but I have not tested the heater. Is there any chance I have a faulty base that is registering the wires as not detected even though they may be detected?

@briannadr

Yes, it is possible that you have a bad base.

One last thing to try.

Do you have access to the furnace? if you do can you post a picture of where the thermostat cable connects in it and what each wire connects to?

I do not have access to the furnace, however I have confirmed that the AC and heater are both working and the fan automatically turns on and off.

I will assume that I can dismiss the notification and the Nest will continue running like normal. It appears that everything is functioning even though the base can’t detect all the wires.

Can you post a picture of the error message that you are seeing?
