Nest account

I am attempting to reset my nest password. When I receive my two factor authentication code it has 6 digits. I then receive an error code stating it needs 8. What am I missing?

Hello Welovemi,

Thanks for bringing this up. I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your Nest account, and I'd be happy to look into this for you.

Please make sure that the Nest app is up-to-date and that all permissions from your phone's settings are enabled. Then, ensure that you're attempting to sign in with the same email address associated with your Nest Thermostat. Try to go to this page first and sign in. With this, try to select "Sign in with Google" if the account has been migrated or "Sign in with Nest" if it has not been migrated yet before resetting the password.
