Nest and HeatPump

Hi Nest Community!
I hope everything is good with you...
I recently just bought a nest thermostat (https://store.google.com/ca/product/nest_thermostat?hl=en-GB).
I also added a heatpump to 3 rooms in my house. https://senville.ca/28000-btu-tri-zone-mini-split-air-conditioner-sena-30hf-t/
Can I control my heat pump using my Nest thermostat?

Thank you!

Hi @AndreMonte,

Thanks for reaching out and providing detailed information. I understand that you want to know if you can control your heat pump using your Nest thermostat. I'm here to help you find a solution together.

To assist you with the best solution, I would like to get a bit more information:

  • Is your heat pump installed and properly wired?
  • Could you please send me pictures of the wires? If you already have it installed.
  • Would you kindly send me pictures of the connection between your control panel and the terminal letters?

Please keep me posted.

Warm regards,

Jeremy.

Thank you for your reply Jeremy!
The head pumps use remote control to set the temperature/mode to the unit.
The wiring is only from the head to the outside unit.
I am wondering if I can still connect the heat pump to be controlled by my google thermostat.
Do you still want some pictures of it?

Andre

Hi @AndreMonte,

Thank you for your prompt response and the detailed information you’ve provided. Yes, I still need the photos to verify if the heat pump you have is compatible with your Nest thermostat, and the photos I need are of the wiring that was installed in the previous thermostat. Just in case, you can check the wiring on the control board, which is usually labeled with letters, and send me the photo too.

Please keep me posted.

Warm regards,

Jeremy.

Currently I only have a 2 wire in the wall. I did not hook to the heat pump. For the heat pump I can only use the remote.
But I am planing on running a new wire, but only if I can hook to the thermostat to the heat pump.
I will sendo you pictures when I get home.
