Nest app & Home app show different devices

I have a Nest Thermostat that will not show in the Nest App and I have Nest Protect that will not show in the Google Home App. Really starting to regret investing thousands of dollars in nest products across home and business.

Sorry if you feel that way and I completely understand where you're coming from. 

Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app. Keep an eye out on this Community page or follow our social channels for news and updates.

When will Nest app be fully migrating to Google home? I am trying to figure out why I still have to use two different apps under the same company
