Did you try switching the upstairs and downstairs thermostats? That should tell you if you some issue with wiring in the upstairs if it came loose or something

I am having this issue as well. I have done everything possible to troubleshoot it and nothing has worked. Have you gotten any info from tech support? This seems like a planned obsolescence situation where they purposefully do this to push us to buy a new one.

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I'm sorry to hear your Nest Thermostats are appearing offline in the Nest app, especially since they have been connected to your network and working fine for years. I understand how inconvenient this situation can be, and I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve it.
We appreciate your patience with this. We resolved an issue impacting some Google Nest devices. If you're still experiencing issues, let us know by replying to this post.
Best regards,

Hi Jennifer,
Thank you for replying. I still cannot connect my Nest Thermostat to WiFi. (I did a factory reset in my troubleshooting). I have tried several times since your message including the factory reset. I have restarted a few times and plugged and unplugged my modem and router numerous times in different orders. Sometimes I get a simple failed message but now I get a message saying "There was a problem communicating with Google". Any assistance on this matter would be appreciated. Or any information as to what is going on since this seems to be Google server issue affecting all products. Thank you!

Two of our 4 Nest Thermostats show Offline on the app even though the actually thermostats show they are connected to our Network. One thermostat is off and the other is on. The other two Nest thermostats (also one off and one on) do not go offline.
I have disconnected both offline thermostats and reconnected them twice and each time after 30 minutes or so, they appear offline again. The physical thermostats still say connected to my wifi network even though the app says offline.
I checked the battery on both (fine) and there is also no wifi or connectivity issues.
Would really like to know why these keep going offline.

Yesterday our Nest, Gen 4 went off line. We are unable to get it to work via the app despite following all troubleshooting directions. We would like some help before we replace it with a different brand.
