Nest app won't let me login to add google home or send email to reset password

Has anyone got any ideas how I can connect my nest thermostat to my google hone speaker? I've tried numerous times and get sent to the nest login, however it won't accept my password and does not send reset password emails...

Are you using the same account in both the Nest and Google Home apps?

Assuming your thermostat is already setup in the Nest app, can you see it in the Google Home app?

Hi David, as far as I’m aware I’m using the same for both. The thermostat is up and running in the nest app but isn’t showing on the Google home app

If you create a new "home" in the Nest app, does that appear in the Google Home app?

Glad to hear it. Would you mind sharing what fixed it?

I managed to get through to the nest team chat, advised to reset and reinstall the thermostat which automatically added it to google home. Hope that makes sense

I had a similar issue, in that the google home app did not pick up the Nest Thermostat. I solved it by setting my Nest App to have it’s location in the same place as my speaker. In google home app in “Living Room” I have my speaker device. I changed the Nest app, under “Thermostat”, “About”, set “Where” to “Living room”, and it then appeared in google home.
