Nest asking for 6 digit verification code

I had my boiler serviced yesterday and after the visit, my Nest thermostat stopped working. It said it was a connectivity issue and is now asking for a 6 Digit code. I’m unsure what generation the Nest is (I’ve had it for about 10 years. How does this get sent to me? Thank you for your help.
