Nest compatibility Mitsubishi electric HVAC

Dubaa
Community Member

Hi, I have a Mitsubishi electric HVAC PEY-P30 system and would like to replace the Mitsubishi  thermostat with a Nest thermostat. I checked the wiring but there is no such wiring as the ones on the Google compatibility checker. The original Mitsubishi electric thermostat is just connected with 2 wires to the HVAC which are called CN1.
I understand I need a gateway to connect the Nest thermostat to the HVAC machine. But what kind of gateway? Mitsubishi.jpg

@Dubaa

You must check with the manufacturer or the company that installed it to determine if they have an adapter.

Hi Dubaa,

Thanks for posting here in the Community. I wanted to check and see if you managed to see the information that Patrick_Caezza has shared. Also, please help us with a photo of your thermostat wires connected to your Mitsubishi thermostat and a photo of your Mitsubishi electric HVAC PEY-P30 system where the other end of the thermostat wires are connected.

I’ll look forward to your response.

I appreciate the help, @Patrick_Caezza

Best,

Zoe

My contractor tells me that Mitsubishi Electric here in the UAE only sells the A/C. They do not have any reseller of thermostat gateways here in the UAE and no-one to advise.  I am not sure how to contact Mitsubishi Electric and get some good advice.

Hi there,

Typically, your furnace is centrally located in the home. You can usually find it in an area such as a utility closet (by a cold air return), a garage, an attic, basement, or crawlspace.

If by any chance you weren’t able to find it yourself, we highly recommend you contact an HVAC technician near your area to locate it for you since you’re not sure how to contact your HVAC company.

Thanks,

Zoe
