Nest compatibility with TRANE 5TMM5B

Not sure my NEST is compatible with new furnace installed in my home TRANE 5TMM5B0A.  Installers connected wires to an older Trane thermostat with connections to B, G, Y, jumped W1/W2, and R on that thermostat.  Is this wiring compatible with with my Nest or do I need higher generation?  Thanks!

It's compatible. We just need to check the wiring. Can you post a picture of the wiring here?

With Trane, the B terminal is usually the C terminal on the Nest.

B to C

G to G

Y to Y1

W1 to W1 (jumper to W2 not needed_

R to Rc

This is probably the correct wiring, but having that picture would help confirm it

That wiring setup looks compatible with most Nest models, but the B wire might cause issues since Nest uses O/B for heat pump control double-check if your system is a heat pump 7 Brew menu , and you might need to reconfigure in the Nest settings.

Thanks, albertjohn37, the unit is not a heat pump (A/C and electric heat strips), so I am hoping I will be ok.
