I do not have a C wire on my current thermostat but I do have a R wire connected. I also have a nest installed upstairs ( one system two zones) and it works fine. I want to get another nest for downstairs but as mentioned no c wire. Here’s a picture can anyone tell me if a nest will work downstairs?

The brown wire that is connected to the B terminal is your C wire.

Edward,
Thank you for following up and offering more help, I do appreciate it very much.
I ended up just sending back the standard Nest thermostat, because it kept falling offline, and I bought another Nest Learning Thermostat and this one is working great.
I also appreciate you confirming the brown wire was the “C” wire. I did check the controller for my system and I did see that the brown wire was landed on the “C” terminal for both Zones but wasn’t 100% certain is was the power wire until you confirmed it. Now both thermostats have a “C” wire connected which is good.
Thanks again!
Todd
